The Yellow Bird cocktail is one of the tropical cocktails that originated in the Caribbean. It is particularly associated with the bar culture around Haiti and Jamaica. The name of the cocktail is thought to come from the traditional song "Yellow Bird", which is very popular in Caribbean music.

In the 1950s and 1960s, Caribbean tourism was booming. Tropical hotels and beach bars tried to capture the atmosphere of the region by offering exotic cocktails to tourists. Yellow Bird is one of the drinks that emerged during this period and quickly became popular.

“People are often changed not by the places they go, but by the moments they live.”

The character of the cocktail is determined by the Galliano liqueur. This liqueur contains vanilla and herbal aromas and, combined with rum and citrus, creates a tropical yet balanced taste. Lime juice gives the drink a fresh acidity and balances the flavors.

Over time, Yellow Bird has become one of the favorite cocktails of tiki bar culture. Thanks to its tropical flavors and light texture, it is one of the most preferred exotic drinks especially in summer.
