The Old Cuban cocktail was created by Audrey Saunders, one of the most respected names in the modern cocktail world, in 2001 at the famous Pegu Club bar in New York City. Saunders is known for combining classic cocktail techniques with modern interpretations, and the Old Cuban is considered one of the most successful examples of this approach.

This cocktail actually represents the fusion of two different cocktail traditions, the Mojito and the French 75. The freshness of the Mojito with mint and lime is combined with the warm character of rum and the sparkling elegance of champagne. The result is a drink that is both aromatic and elegant. The name "Old Cuban" pays homage to the essential elements of Cuban cocktail culture such as rum and mint.

“The best moments of life are hidden in the small celebrations shared.”

In a short time, the Old Cuban has become popular in cocktail bars around the world and is now considered one of the modern classics. It has become a preferred cocktail especially for afternoon aperitifs and special celebrations. Thanks to its elegant structure, it offers both a fresh and sophisticated experience.

Shake the shaker well - the citrus and rum flavors are better balanced this way.
